As the Christmas season draws near, the SIA community was given a meaningful opportunity to celebrate not only with joy but also with purpose—by caring for God’s creation and extending help to others. In line with this, the SIA Student Government (SSG) launched another impactful initiative: the SIA Go Green Project.
This project aimed to instill in students the value of environmental stewardship by emphasizing the importance of reducing waste, reusing materials, and recycling responsibly. Through this initiative, students were reminded that caring for the environment is one way of honoring God and serving others.
The half-day program was filled with engaging and educational activities. One of the highlights was an informative discussion on the proper use of trash bins—another SSG-led project—where students learned the simple yet effective rule: “Waste goes to Black, Recyclables go to Green.” This was followed by a fun team-building game that required students to pass water from one person to another without spilling a single drop, promoting cooperation and shared responsibility.

Creativity also took center stage during the Christmas Decoration Contest, where students designed festive decorations using recyclable materials. Congratulations to Caden Taing for winning the contest with an outstanding and eco-friendly creation.
To conclude the program on a truly meaningful note, the SSG invited the SIA community to participate in a donation drive. True to the spirit of generosity, donations overflowed from the kind hearts of students, parents, and teachers. These donations were shared with:

With grateful hearts, we extend our sincerest thanks to everyone who supported this initiative. Your generosity, time, and effort truly reflect God’s love in action. Indeed, your love and service are not in vain in the Lord.
