October 11, 2024, Friday – Students of Stepping Stone International Academy (SIA) celebrated Teacher’s Day in a touching surprise event led by the Supreme Student Government (SSG), much to the delight of their teachers. Despite a slight delay in the program’s start, the celebration unfolded smoothly and left a lasting impression on both students and teachers.
The event kicked off with a short devotion led by SSG President James Kang, where he emphasized the profound role teachers play in shaping the lives of their students. Kang’s message revolved around appreciating the teachers not just for their work, but for their presence and positive influence on students’ personal growth. This heartfelt moment was followed by a worship song rendered by the school’s Worship Team as a tribute to the educators. The students then offered a prayer of blessings, further showing their gratitude.
After the devotion, the program continued with a gesture that deeply moved the teachers. The students escorted them to the front of the stage, where each teacher was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a cheesecake as tokens of appreciation. The thoughtful gifts were met with smiles and gratitude from the teachers, who appreciated the gesture.

One of the highlights of the program was a fun Q&A session. The students had previously written questions, which were then selected for the teachers to answer while seated in front. This interactive activity created an engaging atmosphere, allowing students to get to know their teachers on a more personal level, sparking laughter and deepening connections.
The program concluded with students presenting personal gifts to their teachers, ranging from handwritten notes to chocolates and other tokens of affection. These thoughtful presents brought smiles to the teachers' faces, leaving them touched by the love and care shown by their students.
The Teacher’s Day celebration at SIA, though simple and brief, was filled with warmth, gratitude, and meaningful interactions that strengthened the bond between students and teachers. It was a day to remember, highlighting the invaluable role teachers play in their students' lives.
