September 25, 2024 – SIA proudly celebrated the first day of its much-awaited 13th Foundation Week under the theme “Remembering the Past, Envisioning the Future.” The event opened with a vibrant and heartfelt program that reflected the school’s rich history and forward-looking vision.
Mrs. Seoun, the head teacher of the elementary department and the school's longest-serving staff member, took the stage as the host, captivating everyone with an inspiring and enthusiastic introduction. Following her lead, the school’s worship team led a wonderful and blessed worship fellowship, where students and faculty alike enjoyed a heartfelt time of praise and worship.
After the worship, Ms. Jessica lightened the mood with an exhilarating icebreaker, preparing everyone for the next part of the event. Mr. Joe Araneta, the school’s principal, then led the devotion, offering a touching reflection on SIA’s journey. He recounted the sacrifices and hard work of the school’s founders, emphasizing how God's guidance has been central to the school’s growth and success.
The morning took a joyful turn when Mr. Paul Lim, the founder of SIA, was surprised with a birthday celebration. As the crowd sang him the birthday song, he was presented with a cake and heartfelt birthday cards from the students, leaving him touched by the gesture.
The fun continued with a delightful performance by the Kindergarten students, whose dance brought smiles to all in attendance. Their adorable performance was followed by a lively and interactive game, “Guess the Person and Trivia,” where students showcased their impressive guessing skills. This activity brought the school community together, fostering joy, laughter, and teamwork.
The first day of SIA’s 13th Foundation Week was not only filled with fun and games but also a reminder of the school’s deep-rooted past and its bright future. The event served as a time of reflection and hope, as everyone at SIA looks forward to continuing their journey together with faith and unity, year after year, under God’s blessings.
