Stepping Stone International Academy (SIA) joyfully celebrated its 15th Foundation Day with a memorable day filled with worship, exciting competitions, fellowship, and activities for students across all departments.
This year’s Foundation Day celebration was led by the English Department, headed by Teacher Amy, whose team prepared a variety of activities designed to encourage participation, teamwork, creativity, and school spirit.
A Meaningful Morning of Worship and Celebration
The celebration began with an opening prayer, setting the tone for a meaningful day of thanksgiving. This was followed by opening remarks from Mr. Lim, who welcomed the students and staff and expressed appreciation for God’s faithfulness to SIA throughout the years.
Students and teachers then joined together in a time of worship, followed by a devotion led by Mr. Jonathan Ames. The morning program continued with a special dance number performed by selected Middle School and High School students. The students had spent three weeks preparing for the performance, making their presentation one of the highlights of the morning.

To bring even more energy to the celebration, Mr. Ray led an exciting icebreaker that had students actively participating and enjoying the festivities.
The morning continued with the much-anticipated Bible Bee Showdown, where representatives from the five guilds competed in a test of Bible knowledge and memory. The competition brought out the students’ enthusiasm and friendly guild rivalry.
The Elementary Spelling Bee was another exciting part of the morning program. Before the Foundation Day celebration, an elimination round was held to determine the students who would advance to the finals. After demonstrating their spelling skills in the preliminary round, the top three spellers earned their places in the final round, where they competed for the championship.
Meanwhile, the Kindergarten students participated in special activities prepared especially for them, allowing the youngest members of the SIA community to take part in the celebration.
One of the sweetest moments of the morning came when the SIA community surprised Mr. Lim with a birthday celebration, making the Foundation Day even more special.

Afternoon Competitions and Activities
After lunch, the celebration continued with more activities and competitions.

The Secondary Spelling Bee challenged students to demonstrate their vocabulary, spelling accuracy, concentration, and composure. Similar to the Elementary competition, an elimination round was conducted beforehand, with the top three students advancing to the final round to compete for the championship.
The highlight of the afternoon was the English Amazing Race, which brought together students from Grades 4–5, Middle School, and High School. Participants worked through various challenges that tested their English skills, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and speed.
At the same time, the Student Government (SSG) facilitated an English activity for students from Kindergarten through Grade 3, giving younger students an opportunity to participate in the Foundation Day celebration through fun and engaging activities.
Celebrating 15 Years of God's Faithfulness
The Foundation Day celebration provided students and staff with an opportunity not only to enjoy games and competitions but also to reflect on SIA’s journey and the faithfulness of God throughout the years.
From worship and devotion to academic competitions, performances, and team activities, the celebration brought the entire school community together in thanksgiving and fellowship.
SIA extends its appreciation to the English Department, headed by Teacher Amy, the SSG, teachers, staff, and students who worked together to make the celebration a memorable one.
Happy 15th Foundation Day, Stepping Stone International Academy! May SIA continue to grow in faith, wisdom, excellence, and unity for many more years to come.
