Important Updates for the Month of April

As we embrace the onset of a new month, we are pleased to share with some key upcoming events and adjustments to our schedule:

  1. International Cultural Celebration (April 3 – 5, 2024): We are thrilled to announce our upcoming International Cultural Celebration, scheduled from April 3rd to 5th, 2024. This three-day extravaganza promises to be an enriching experience for our students and families alike.

  1. Parent-Teacher Conference (April 8 – 10, 2024): Our dedicated teachers have diligently prepared the 3rd Quarter grades and Progress Reports for discussion during the Parent-Teacher Conference. Originally scheduled for April 22 – 26, we have rescheduled the conference to April 8 – 10, 2024, from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. This adjustment allows us to focus on the academic progress of our Grade 6 and 9 students, as well as our graduating high school seniors. Additionally, re-enrollment forms for the next school year will be distributed during this time. Individual conference schedules will be provided in forthcoming correspondence. Please note that classes for all levels will conclude at 3:00 pm on these dates.

  2. Khmer New Year Celebration (April 11, 2024): Save the date for our pre-Khmer New Year celebration on April 11th. Traditional Cambodian games, presentations, and cultural programs will be featured, followed by a delightful snack fellowship featuring Cambodian snacks and dishes. Further details will be communicated in our upcoming updates.

  1. Khmer New Year Holiday (April 12 – 17, 2024): In observance of Khmer New Year, SIA will be closed from April 12th to 17th. We encourage you to enjoy this festive time with your loved ones. Classes will resume on April 18, 2024.

  1. No Uniform Days (April 1 – 11, 2024): To accommodate the various activities outlined above, students are granted permission to wear casual clothes from April 1st to April 11th. We kindly request all students, especially our newcomers, to ensure they have their uniforms ready for our return to regular classes after the holiday period.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your continued support of SIA's educational mission. Should you have any questions or require further clarification on any of the aforementioned matters, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Thank you for your cooperation and partnership in ensuring the success and well-being of our students.
