Foundation Week Day 2: Stepping Stone International Academy Celebrates Future Dreams and Talent

On Thursday, September 26, Stepping Stone International Academy (SIA) celebrated the second day of its highly anticipated Foundation Week. The day was filled with excitement as students showcased their future aspirations, creativity, and talents.

The day kicked off with a morning assembly at the basketball court, where students and faculty gathered to listen to a devotion lead by Mrs. Seoun. Her message, titled “Clothing,” highlighted the significance of appropriate attire and how our clothes matters. This tied perfectly with the day’s theme, “Future Occupations,” where students dressed up as their dream professions. From athletes and doctors to artists and even future school principals, the wide range of costumes showcased the students' diverse aspirations and ambitions for the future.

Following the morning devotion, Mr. Joe, the school principal, announced the winners of the poster and slogan-making contest. To everyone's surprise, both Team Consistency and Team Stepping Stone tied for first place, sharing the honor. The event continued with a fashion show, where students strutted across the stage, displaying their chosen career costumes with pride and creativity.

Next on the agenda was the highly anticipated talent show, a search for the next Mr. and Ms. SIA. Pairs from each team performed and participated in a Q&A session. Team Integrity’s Geonwoo and Maneasha kicked off the performances with a soulful worship song. Team Ability followed with Peter and Hannah’s rendition of “Duvet,” which captivated the audience. Team Consistency’s Lydia and Edison impressed with their harmonious duet, while Team Stepping Stone’s Ray and Lily wowed everyone with their performance of “Love is an Open Door.”

With Team Integrity and Team Stepping Stone tied after the talent show, Mr. Joe posed one final question to break the tie, leaving the audience on the edge of their seats as they awaited the crowning of this year’s Mr. and Ms. SIA.

The festivities continued with a series of activities, starting with games for the kindergarten, followed by the PACE Bowl, Spelling Bee, and Bible Trivia. The PACE Bowl for the elementary category concluded just before lunch, after which Mr. Joe met with team leaders and teachers to discuss the rest of the day’s schedule.

The afternoon saw teams competing with determination, each striving to win points for their respective groups. Though the heat made the competition challenging, the spirit of teamwork and friendly rivalry kept everyone going, ensuring the second day of Foundation Week ended on a high note.

Stepping Stone International Academy's Foundation Week is proving to be an event full of spirit, creativity, and teamwork, as students continue to shine in both individual and team challenges. As the celebrations continue, everyone is eager to see what the rest of the week will bring.
